Throughout the festival, knife enthusiasts will be able to take part in a host of activities that showcase the cutler’s skills, expertise and the passion for this tool that can become a genuine work of art in the hands of experts. This year, visitors will be able to explore the cutler’s village, the site where it all began.
The Companions of the Confrérie du Couteau Le Thiers will be hosting a knife assembly workshop where visitors will be given the opportunity to design their own Thiers® knife. Forge demonstrations will be led by the Companions, blacksmithing friends and apprentices from the training centre.
A metal sharpening and metal working area will be organised with the participation of the Fédération française de la Coutellerie. There will also be many other associations showcasing their activities: Associations des Vieilles Lames, Confrérie du Tire-Bouchon, Les Rasophiles … We hope you enjoy discovering the Festival and its Thiers basin.

After strolling through the festival aisles, visitors can refresh themselves by having lunch on site (a catering service is available on request at the various bars at the fair organised by “Pays du Thiers Rugby). They will also be able to visit the many restaurants in Thiers and its surrounding area in order to discover the gastronomy in Auvergne.
